Good storyline, fun gameplay. You do reach a point where you've pretty much done everything and you will want to give up, but then at the same time you want to officially finish. Still, it's fun for many hours (or a few days) of compelling gameplay. While I wouldn't play this again right away, I know a few months from now, it might appeal to me. If you like these colony types of games, this one is original and cute (and no, your characters don't die off in this one lol). Some of the little shows the characters put on are kinda humorous.

Toward the end of the game, the thing I liked least was directing your people into food/sleep buildings and having to keep clicking on selling their works. In the first 3/4 of the game, it's not bad and you actually enjoy having say on it, but toward the end, there is such an overwhelming amount to sell that it becomes tedious. Really at the end, your biggest thing is just wanting to let them finish the game but it's too much to just sit there and after a while you'll get tired of clicking and dragging with that many people. Still, this is an awesome game. Hope there will be a sequel to it. I have heard that Buried in Time is somewhat similar to Artist Colony - that's all I needed to hear to want to try that one. This game is unique, it's cute, fun, graphics are cute and I love that the seasons are included in the game.
