Another game I purchased recently and played from start to finish non-stop (I did take breaks to sleep!) In this game, you play a fresh out of high school character, male or female. You basically have to set up shop by getting a job, learning skills, finding a home. At each "level", you will receive a call from a high school buddy who will challenge you to accomplish something specific at the same time as they are. If you manage to finish before your buddy, you "win" the level. If not, you still progress forward, but it will be considered the buddy's "win". This is probably the weakest part of the game - the premise that you are competing with a friend. However, this really is such a minimal part of the game. It's like they could have just said you have "x" time to complete this in but instead, they tried to make it more interesting with the competition. Whatever - the game is still great fun.
Your character gets to work up the career ladder, attend college classes, take classes at the gym, go out for fun (dancing and try to attract a mate; shopping; spa; fitness club; etc). You can purchase all types of furnishings and items for your home, you can buy pets and even vehicles. Pets affect your happiness when you are home, vehicles your speed around the neighborhood. You can dine out every night or purchase kitchen items and cook at home. If so, then you must also grocery shop each week. You always have lots of choices in what you purchase or eat, even where you eat out. Once you start dating (you must first attract a mate), you can start going on dates, where you even have choices as to where or what you do. Everything ties into the game, such as when to look for new jobs, how much time you spend at home or even going to bed early. I was so taken with this game, I couldn't stop playing until I finished. I have never really played anything like it but really enjoyed this one!
